Job Description:

A Glazing Company in Welwyn Garden City is looking for experienced Fabricator to join their team. They are renowned for what they do, and due to growth and expansion are looking for new Door/Window Fabricators to join their professional team.

Job Responsibility:

Responsible for all Fabrication, inclusive of hanging, beading, gasketing, of Aluminium Frames

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an aluminium fabrication-based role
  • High degree of product knowledge in a variety of Aluminium Systems, predominantly, Smarts
  • Be able to prioritise and organise work efficiently and effectively
  • Be driven to achieve objectives, regardless of problems
  • Be energetic and enthusiastic, proactively offering proposals
  • Achieve objectives
  • Transmit information in a clear, concise, and confident manner

  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance tasks on building fabric and finishes
  • Inspect building fabric components regularly to detect wear, defects or damage
  • report and implement repair strategies
  • Perform general building fabric tasks: carpentry/joinery, painting & decorating, plastering, tiling, flooring, ironmongery, door/window fitting
  • Undertake minor plumbing, drainage, and sealant works where needed
  • Ensure all works comply with health & safety regulations, fire safety, and other statutory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records: inspections, work completed, materials used, defects, permits, risk assessments, etc
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, occupants or clients to respond to maintenance requests and give updates
  • Manage small contracts or coordinate with external contractors: ensuring quality, safety (RAMS), compliance, timely delivery
