Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optometrist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including vision examinations, diagnosis of eye conditions, and management of patient care. This role is essential in ensuring the visual health and well-being of our patients, particularly in senior care settings.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments as necessary
  • Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular check-ups
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of examinations and treatments
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care
  • Stay updated with advancements in optometry and participate in continuing education opportunities
  • Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for all patients

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the visual system
  • Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to senior care
  • Proficient in using optometric equipment and technology for examinations
  • Strong communication skills to effectively explain diagnoses and treatment options to patients
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining a high level of professionalism
  • GOC REGISTRATION (required)
