Job Description

Choices Homecare are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our day team in Southport. We are currently looking for 1 full-time care worker to support individuals within one of our 24-hour care services. While we are a domiciliary care provider, this role is not a home-to-home (community-based) position. Instead, you will be based in one dedicated 24-hour package, providing consistent, person-centred support in a single setting. You will be supporting individuals to live safely, independently, and with dignity, empowering them to live the life they choose within a stable and familiar environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
  • Assisting with medication administration and documentation
  • Preparing meals and supporting with nutrition and hydration
  • Promoting independence and daily living skills
  • Building positive relationships with service users and families
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and recognising changes in behaviour
  • Maintaining accurate records and effective communication
  • Ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment
  • Upholding confidentiality and professional boundaries

Requirements

  • A caring, compassionate, and positive attitude
  • A strong commitment to person-centred care
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience is preferred but not essential – full training provided
  • Ability to travel reliably, including weekends and bank holidays
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred
