Job Description

We have a part time domestic support worker post (band 2) 25 hrs working 5 out of 7 on a pro rota within our tukes/navigo domestics team, working across all our navigo sites.

Job Responsibility

  • Work as part of a domestic team in achieving and maintaining high infection control standards in all inpatient facilities
  • Ensure daily communication between the team is recorded, cleaning cupboards kept clean and well maintained and any minor problems dealt with in a timely manner
  • Ensure sites are of hospital standard, recording and reporting issues to the Domestic team Supervisor
  • Assist in the smooth operation of the laundry function when necessary
  • Ensure Health and Safety at Work Act and COSHH regulations are met
  • Play a significant role in Tukes members support programme
  • Undertake a wide range of duties in relation to domestic services on both acute and community sites
  • Attend and meet Navigo mandatory training standards and any other training as required
  • Provide support for meaningful occupation of time and work placement training
