Job Description:

Our client, who owns a beautiful country estate located in the remote Inner Southern Hebrides of Scotland, is looking to recruit two enthusiastic and hardworking people to join our team to provide housekeeping and dinner service for the principles of the Estate. This role would be perfect for a couple (or friends) who are looking to relocate to the beautiful Island of Islay. The Estate have five self-catering properties in which you would be responsible for caretaking and carrying out the changeovers in.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preparing Estate properties in advance of guest’s arrival and carrying out changeovers upon their departure
  • Daily housekeeping, breakfast, lunch, and dinner service in Estate properties as required
  • Keeping a stock of cleaning products, bottled waters, soaps, and other essential supplies needed in Estate properties and topping up when necessary
  • Laundry
  • Running errands for guests/family
  • Assisting with shoot lunches
  • Preparation of vacant properties prior to staff/tenants moving in
  • General maintenance in Estate properties
  • Cutting grass, and assisting in the garden as required
  • Weekly vacant property checks and meter readings
  • Assisting in onsite shop as required

Requirements:

  • Experience of working within hospitality either Private Household, 5* Hotels or B&B essential
  • Strong housekeeping experience
  • UK Passport / Right to work in UK
  • Valid driving licences (both applicants)
  • Dog friendly
  • First class references
