Job Description:

A domestic cleaner will be responsible for providing residential cleaning services to maintain clean, safe and hygienic environments for residents and staff.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing cleaning services based on established schedules
  • Cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens and other relevant spaces according to guidelines and standards
  • Cleaning all surfaces, including floors, carpet and benchtops.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen that abides by the standards
  • Removal of waste and rubbish
  • Laundry assistance where required
  • Safe usage and storage of cleaning supplies
  • Actively ensuring infection control through appropriate cleaning practices
  • Maintaining a safe environment for all in the vicinity

Requirements:

  • Training and/or experience in cleaning services
  • Current Police Check (less than 6 months old)

  • Chemical handling

  • Fabricate new tools and equipment as needed
  • Follow preventative maintenance schedules for all hatchery equipment such as hydroelectric turbine generators, diesel generators, front-end loaders, pickup trucks, gas pumps, outboard motors, welders, cement mixers, steam cleaners, pressure washers, snow removal equipment, and power tools
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and necessary repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure operational efficiency
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine solutions by referencing blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs
  • Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
  • Complete architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical system preventative maintenance as assigned
