Job Description

Lindsey Hall are seeking a full time Domestic Assistant 24 hours per week. Includes some weekend working. Yorkare Homes is one of the highest CQC rated care providers nationally and that same level of care will be provided at Lindsey Hall. The care home provides both residential and dementia care. The Home includes facilities such as an in-house bar, a full beauty salon and hairdressing room and cinema. The facilities will be used on a daily basis by visiting friends and family, and in our varied activities program. Whilst experience is preferred, training and support is provided to a very high standard if the applicant demonstrates all the qualities we feel are essential to fulfil this role, such as having a positive and caring attitude.

Job Responsibility

Ensure that the home communal areas, resident bedrooms and office spaces are undertaken to a high standard and be aware of the homes needs
Use chemicals and cleaning equipment responsibly and within health and safety guidelines
Clear waste in an appropriate manner
Maintain Health and safety throughout the home for residents, visitors and staff
Keep a high standard of appearance and tidiness throughout the home and respect each residents’ belongings being mindful of their privacy and dignity
Ensure that the laundry room is a safe environment for staff and conforms to legislation
Ensure that every resident enjoys clean and well maintained laundry
Maintain a high standard of laundry in accordance with environmental health requirements
Check the condition of domestic equipment and report any malfunctions, hazards or potential hazards to maintenance
Undertake isolation cleaning where required
Ensure that a good standard of hygiene and cleanliness be maintained throughout the Servery and dining area
Carry out general servery and dining room duties, such as setting tables, washing up and serving meals to residents
May include at times taking meals to Residents rooms and tidying away
May be a requirement to carry out the Tea round
