We’re currently recruiting experienced Cleaners (Domestic Assistants) to support the essential work taking place at Barnet Hospital in London. Whether you’re a parent juggling school hours, a student managing studies, or simply someone who values work–life balance, this role is designed to fit around you. We offer fully flexible shifts, covering Days (07:00 – 22:00) and Night shifts (22:00 – 07:00). Our Constellation Mobile App allows you to choose the shifts that suit your life, not the other way around. Your Role: Making a Real Difference Every Shift. This is meaningful work where every shift matters.

Job Responsibility

  • Cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, bathrooms, and public areas
  • Handling waste safely and responsibly
  • Using cleaning equipment and machinery correctly
  • Following strict hygiene and safety standards in line with NHS guidelines
  • Wearing PPE and maintaining a professional, caring approach
  • Supporting and guiding new team members when needed

Requirements

  • Over 18 years of age
  • Consistent year-round availability is preferred
  • DBS check is required
  • Previous 6 months cleaning experience preferably in Healthcare sector is essential
  • Engaging, friendly, and flexible in manner
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, family members, and colleagues
  • Confidence in interacting with people
  • Excellent teamwork skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Comfortable working independently when required
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable standing and walking throughout the shift, with frequent manual handling tasks
