An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Community Safety team for a Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join us in supporting people experiencing domestic abuse across Hertfordshire. You will play a key role in the delivery of our domestic abuse service in Hertfordshire by supporting victims and overseeing our drop-in service.
Job Responsibility:
Support victims and oversee drop-in service
Support victims and their families
Liaise with partner agencies
Represent the organisation at professional meetings including child protection conferences
Requirements:
Educated to a good standard including HND/HNC Housing, ASB Qualification, qualification or equivalent practical knowledge and experience of working previously in an area providing support and guidance
Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
Deal calmly and confidently with emotional situations
Ability to understand the needs and perceptions of residents
Nice to have:
Full UK driving licence (with access to own vehicle)
