Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Community Safety team for a Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join us in supporting people experiencing domestic abuse across Hertfordshire. You will play a key role in the delivery of our domestic abuse service in Hertfordshire by supporting victims and overseeing our drop-in service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support victims and oversee drop-in service
  • Support victims and their families
  • Liaise with partner agencies
  • Represent the organisation at professional meetings including child protection conferences

Requirements:

  • Educated to a good standard including HND/HNC Housing, ASB Qualification, qualification or equivalent practical knowledge and experience of working previously in an area providing support and guidance
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Deal calmly and confidently with emotional situations
  • Ability to understand the needs and perceptions of residents

Nice to have:

Full UK driving licence (with access to own vehicle)
