As a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker, you will provide high-quality, survivor-centred support to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse. Working in line with our values of kindness, dignity, empowerment and partnership, you will help people to increase safety, rebuild independence and achieve longer-term stability.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver one-to-one and group-based outreach support to people experiencing or at risk of domestic abuse
Manage a varied caseload, completing risk assessments, safety plans and tailored support plans
Provide practical and emotional support, ensuring survivors feel heard, respected and empowered
Work closely with partner agencies including housing, health, safeguarding, children’s services and criminal justice
Support access to safe accommodation options such as refuge, sanctuary schemes, respite, move-on housing and resettlement
Contribute to outreach, early intervention and awareness-raising activity within the community
Requirements:
Experience or understanding of working with people affected by domestic abuse and complex needs
Ability to manage a mixed caseload, including risk, safeguarding and crisis situations
Knowledge of housing pathways, including refuge, move-on accommodation, independent tenancies and safe return home
Confidence delivering high-quality casework, including support planning and safety planning
A compassionate, non-judgemental and inclusive approach to working with survivors
Strong partnership-working skills with statutory and voluntary agencies
Ability to build trusting relationships and support people to develop independence and resilience
Willingness to work flexibly across 1:1 support, group work and community drop-ins
A passion for raising awareness of domestic abuse and improving access to support
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work purposes
