We’re seeking an experienced Program Manager to help shape and mature my client's domain-oriented data ecosystem. In this role, you’ll partner closely with domain owners, product teams, and platform engineering to define data models, establish governance, and build high-quality, reusable data products that accelerate analytics, ML, and operational use cases across the business. If you’re passionate about modern data architecture, domain-driven design, and building scalable foundations for enterprise data, this is an opportunity to have a high-impact seat at the table.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with domain owners and product teams to understand business context, define data requirements, and translate them into domain data models and contracts
Establish and document data creation processes, including source-of-truth identification, event/entity modeling, and schema evolution strategies
Manage domain data assets in the data catalog, including metadata, lineage, ownership, SLAs/SLOs, and data product documentation
Collaborate with platform engineering to improve ingestion frameworks, transformation tooling, orchestration, and observability
Define and enforce data governance standards—access controls, PII handling, retention, compliance, and role-based permissions
Create reusable templates and patterns for common data and modeling use cases
Provide clear and proactive communication: status updates, risk identification, documentation of decisions, and trade-offs
Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or data management, with strong exposure to domain-oriented design
Experience with modern data platforms and lake/lakehouse architectures
Familiarity with streaming technologies and event-driven data models
Proven ability to understand, analyze, and dissect complex, existing data models
Strong understanding of metadata management, data catalogs, and lineage
Solid grasp of governance, security, privacy, PII handling, and compliance frameworks (GDPR/CCPA)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills—comfortable with technical and non-technical audiences
Nice to have:
Experience implementing data products within a domain-driven architecture or data mesh environment
Background supporting analytics engineering or ML feature pipelines
Prior consulting/contracting experience with the ability to operate independently
Proven stakeholder recognition for clarity, responsiveness, and business value delivered
