We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Dogmen to join our highly skilled crane and materials handling team. You’ll be involved in a wide range of maintenance and heavylift activities that are essential to ship repair and dockyard operations. These roles are casual roles, however, there are consistent full time hours on offer, with additional overtime opportunities. This certainly is a unique environment! From workshop to being up close with the latest Naval Ships, no two days are the same.
Job Responsibility:
Working in a variety of environments onsite including onboard & external areas of vessels, as well as within the workshop
Rigging duties including inspections (fit for use)
Heavy lifts (Bow-Thruster’s, Propellers, Propeller Blades & Propeller Shafts and Rudders etc), and other awkward shaped loads
Work with Forklifts, EWP, Working at Heights, Mobile & Portal cranes as a Dogman / Rigger
Requirements:
White Card
Dogging (DG)
Australian citizenship
Eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate level Security Clearance
2 years experience
Solid experience with dogging operations
Willingness to undertake training on specialised equipment
