Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Document Services Specialist to support our law firm clients’ attorneys and staff. This role is responsible for creating, editing, formatting, and finalizing a wide range of legal documents using Microsoft Office applications.

Job Responsibility:

  • Draft, edit, and format letters, briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents
  • Accurately input, scan, convert, and format documents
  • Analyze document requirements and provide time estimates
  • Format large Excel spreadsheets into clean and printable formats
  • Perform proofreading, spell checks, and cross-checks for accuracy
  • Clean and correct corrupted documents and remove metadata
  • Convert documents using various applications to meet client standards
  • Transfer and receive documents electronically
  • Perform EDGAR filings as needed
  • Assist with SEC‑compliant PDF/A conversions
  • Participate in ongoing training for document services systems
  • Support the team in meeting client deadlines
  • Stay current on updates to specialized applications and software tools

Requirements:

  • Highly skilled in Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced legal environment
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • College degree strongly preferred
  • Previous legal document processing or legal administrative experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to multitask and work across multiple systems
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Nice to have:

PowerPoint experience is a plus
