Job Description

We are looking for a dependable Document Services Clerk to support daily print, mail, and records operations in Houston, TX. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced office environment, takes pride in accurate document production, and delivers attentive service to internal customers. The role focuses on managing high-volume document requests, maintaining equipment and supplies, and helping keep office support services running smoothly.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage large-volume copying, printing, scanning, and image capture tasks while ensuring materials are produced accurately and on schedule
  • Prepare electronic files for output, adjust formatting as needed, and resolve routine print or document processing issues
  • Review completed work for clarity, completeness, and presentation quality before distribution or delivery
  • Support employees and visitors by answering questions, recommending appropriate document solutions, and addressing service concerns professionally
  • Maintain adequate levels of paper, toner, and related supplies by monitoring inventory, restocking devices, and placing supply orders when needed
  • Complete finishing work such as cutting, binding, laminating, and assembling printed materials according to request specifications
  • Coordinate multiple assignments at once by evaluating deadlines, urgency, and production requirements
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and courier items to ensure timely and accurate distribution
  • Assist with site support activities such as escorting approved service vendors, helping with shredding service needs, and preparing usage or volume reports as requested
  • Provide additional operational support as needed, including occasional extended hours or weekend coverage to meet business demands

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, along with at least 1 year of relevant experience in document services, file handling, office support, or a related function
  • Hands-on ability to operate printers, copiers, scanners, and similar office equipment, including replacing toner and handling basic troubleshooting
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly, respond to inquiries, and manage routine concerns with attention to detail
  • Comfortable interacting with a wide range of people and able to maintain a helpful, approachable presence in a service-oriented setting
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to follow instructions, interpret routine documentation, and prepare simple reports or correspondence
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel, along with general computer and digital file handling skills
  • Ability to perform simple calculations, stay organized, and manage multiple priorities with consistent attention to detail
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and be eligible to work in the U.S. without current or future visa requirements
