Job Description:

Doctoral student position in the Lab of Migration and Mobility of the Department of Digital and Computational Demography. The project involves using large-scale bibliometric data to measure, model and forecast migration of scientists, and running a survey on mobility of researchers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Contribute to research projects on migration of scientists
  • Work on a cumulative dissertation advancing understanding of scientific mobility
  • Use observational bibliometric data and run a survey
  • Contribute theoretical and methodological advancements to the Scholarly Migration Database
  • Focus on gender, discipline, and geographical differences in global scientific mobility

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent at the time of starting the doctorate
  • Strong quantitative and programming skills
  • Research interests in demography, migration studies, science of science, and computational social science
