Responsibilities Join the action at the marina where no two days are the same! As a Dockhand, you’ll be at the center of creating memorable experiences for boaters while working in a fast-paced waterfront environment. Welcome and assist incoming and departing vessels, helping captains safely dock and undock boats—even in changing wind and current conditions. Ensure boats are set up for a smooth stay by connecting water and electrical services and monitoring dock lines and utilities during changing weather conditions. Fuel vessels safely and assist with supplies, water services, battery charging, and other boater needs while processing retail transactions. Keep our marina looking its best by maintaining docks, equipment, grounds, and work areas. Assist with marina maintenance projects and repairs while helping identify and address safety concerns. Support storm and hurricane preparation efforts to keep our marina and guests safe. Stay knowledgeable on safety procedures, including radio communication, weather emergencies, first aid, fire response, and environmental protocols. Assist with inventory management and marina retail operations. Help maintain live bait procedures and stay informed on applicable regulations. Participate in exciting marina tournaments and special events. Learn marina dockage rates, regulations, and policies to confidently assist guests. Deliver outstanding customer service and create positive experiences for boaters and visitors—you’ll be one of the main faces of the marina. Keep supervisors informed when supplies are running low. Maintain and clean the fuel pier, marina store, equipment, and surrounding areas to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.

Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Previous marina or dockhand experience is a plus
Customer service, boating, or fuel handling experience preferred
Positive attitude and a passion for working outdoors and interacting with people
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Ability to stand and stay active for extended periods
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
