Job Description

The company is seeking an organized, deadline oriented, self-starter to work in a fast paced shipping and receiving loading environment. Individual will be actively involved in the Company Safety program and the long term and short term goals of the department. Attendance is an essential function of this job.

Job Responsibility

  • Stacking and wrapping boxes of poultry product on pallets
  • Lifting of boxes from 10 to 100 lbs
  • Using pallet jacks for the loading and un-loading of products
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area at all times
  • Participate in company and department safety program
  • Comply with Company Policies and Procedures

Requirements

  • Experience with an electric pallet jack
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull weights from 10 to 100 lbs
  • Ability to read and understand product identification and codes in English
  • Experienced forklift and electric pallet jack operator

Nice to have

  • Transfer goods directly from incoming transport vehicles to outbound trailers with speed and accuracy to maintain optimal crossdock flow
  • Conduct mandatory pre-operational safety inspections on the forklift and report any mechanical issues immediately to the supervisor
  • Scan, track, and document inventory movements using warehouse management systems to ensure absolute load accuracy
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area aligned with standard manufacturing & logistics safety protocols
  • Collaborate closely with shunt drivers, dock supervisors, and team members to ensure timely departures of scheduled trailers
