Job Description:

The Dock Attendant is responsible for but not limited to the safe mooring of vessels and general operations of the resort’s dock.

Job Responsibility:

Facilitate and assist in coordinating the arrival and departure of vessels and loading of passengers
Maintain a safe and clean environment
Act as the initial liaison between passengers and the crews
Assist in reservations and posting of all charges

Requirements:

Line handling skills including, ability to tie bowline, half hitch knots, toss and cleat lines
Unlimited or unimpaired ability to walk, bend, stoop, climb and work safely around water and on a ladder
Be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 60 lbs.
Capacity to work as a member of a team or by oneself to achieve desired results
Ability to use a PC, radio and hailer
Ability to read, write, and comprehend reports and schedules
Boat handling skills and knowledge of nautical terminology or the ability to learn quickly
CPR, & First Aid required
Problem solving abilities
Basic Computer Skills in order to operate Micros, Opera and Open Activity
