Job Description

We are looking for a Dock Installation and Field Mechanic to maintain and install docks and support daily field operations for our fleet of shared vehicles. This role is perfect for mechanically-inclined operations professionals who want to expand and build their career experiences in a dynamic and growing industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Install and assemble docks with training and supervision by the Operations leader
  • Safely operate tools and machinery to position and fasten required materials onto docks, ensuring proper assembly
  • Conduct regular quality checks and basic maintenance of installed docks and fleet vehicles to ensure operational compliance
  • May perform small repairs in the field on Lime vehicles and docks, including brake adjustments, tire inflation, and cleaning
  • Monitor designated zones to ensure vehicle parking compliance and tidiness
  • Detect and report uncommon situations related to on the ground service and product including any safety hazards in the field as needed
  • Occasionally assist customers in field by providing support related to Lime products
  • Follow established safety procedures to ensure Lime riders, staff, and community members are safe
  • Will wear all required PPE including safety vest, glasses, steel shoe caps, and gloves
  • Safely operate a van to assist with the deployment and retrieval of Lime electric vehicles within the local market as needed
  • Safely operate a bike, cargo bike or e-scooters to assist with the deployment and retrieval of Lime electric vehicles within the local market as needed
  • Safely operate a pallet jack or push cart on a frequent basis
  • Additional job related tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver license and good driving record
  • Previous experience in a similar role involving vehicle or dock maintenance preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs / 45 kg frequently required
  • Knowledge of cell phone applications. iOS experience preferred
  • Ability to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Experience safely operating a pallet jack or push cart
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform quick and efficient repairs
  • Self-motivated with and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage daily tasks
  • A safety-oriented mindset, capable of conducting rigorous quality checks
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with team members
  • Adaptability to work outdoors and indoors in line with company needs and objectives
  • Ability to safely ride a bike and other Lime vehicles
