Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Divisional/Plant Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Blue Springs, Missouri. This role requires an individual with a strong background in manufacturing cost accounting and financial reporting to support operational and financial decision-making. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in overseeing financial processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data
  • Oversee manufacturing cost accounting activities, including analyzing production costs and variances
  • Prepare detailed financial reports to support decision-making and operational efficiency
  • Maintain compliance with ASC 606 standards and other relevant accounting regulations
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial integrity
  • Utilize NetSuite to manage financial data and reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and cost management
  • Provide strategic insights to enhance plant performance and profitability

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in month-end close and financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting principles and practices

  • Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting and reporting tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and implement internal controls
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate across departments
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
