We are looking for an experienced Divisional/Plant Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting operations, financial reporting, and manufacturing cost accounting. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency across the organization.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and monitor all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and general ledger functions
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal company policies
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to produce accurate and timely financial statements
Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall operational efficiency
Oversee manufacturing cost accounting processes, ensuring accurate allocation of costs and optimization of resources
Design, implement, and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity
Collaborate with the FP& A team to provide actionable insights and clean data for strategic business planning
Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits, ensuring thorough preparation and compliance
Enhance processes related to vendor payments, customer collections, and cash conversion cycles
Assist with company-wide financial consolidations and ensure the accuracy of journal entries and reconciliations
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Expertise in month-end close processes and financial reporting
Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and cost allocation methods
Proficiency in managing controllership functions and maintaining compliance with financial regulations
Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations
Experience in designing and implementing internal controls and audit processes
Advanced skills in financial forecasting and modeling
Strong communication and leadership abilities to collaborate effectively across teams
