Job Description:

In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations and driving efficiency within a manufacturing environment. Your expertise in cost accounting, financial reporting, and leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the plant achieves its strategic goals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the financial operations of the plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing processes
  • Lead and optimize cost accounting procedures to ensure accurate product costing and operational efficiency
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager and operations team to provide financial insights that support cost savings and operational improvements
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive financial reports to plant and corporate leadership
  • Monitor plant performance against budget and propose strategic solutions to address gaps and opportunities
  • Evaluate and provide financial analysis for capital investment projects to support sound decision-making
  • Supervise and guide a small team within the accounting and finance department, fostering growth and development
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes
  • Oversee inventory management activities, including cycle counts, to ensure accurate reporting and control

  • Proven experience in month-end close processes within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in manufacturing cost accounting and product costing
