In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations and driving efficiency within a manufacturing environment. Your expertise in cost accounting, financial reporting, and leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the plant achieves its strategic goals.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the financial operations of the plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing processes
Lead and optimize cost accounting procedures to ensure accurate product costing and operational efficiency
Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards
Collaborate with the Plant Manager and operations team to provide financial insights that support cost savings and operational improvements
Develop and deliver comprehensive financial reports to plant and corporate leadership
Monitor plant performance against budget and propose strategic solutions to address gaps and opportunities
Evaluate and provide financial analysis for capital investment projects to support sound decision-making
Supervise and guide a small team within the accounting and finance department, fostering growth and development
Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes
Oversee inventory management activities, including cycle counts, to ensure accurate reporting and control
Requirements:
Proven experience in month-end close processes within a manufacturing environment
Strong background in manufacturing cost accounting and product costing
Expertise in financial reporting and analysis
Solid understanding of controllership responsibilities and internal controls
Ability to develop and present financial insights to leadership teams
Skilled in supervising and mentoring finance professionals
Proficient in managing inventory-related financial activities
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
