Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Divisional/Plant Controller to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is essential in overseeing financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of reporting and cost accounting processes within a manufacturing environment. Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and execute month-end closing processes with precision and timeliness
  • Oversee manufacturing cost accounting activities to ensure accurate allocation of costs
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial reports to support business decisions
  • Lead efforts to optimize cost accounting practices and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with financial standards
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on financial data
  • Ensure the accuracy of controllership functions, including budget management and forecasting

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial or accounting role, preferably within manufacturing
  • Strong expertise in month-end close processes and procedures
  • Proven knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and cost allocation methods
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis
  • Solid understanding of controllership functions, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication abilities to collaborate across departments and present findings
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
