We are flexible where you will base yourself , however you will be required to visit out Energy sites and various offices on a regular basis.

Job Responsibility:

  • Contribute to the delivery of sustainable, profitable growth by minimising risks, maximising opportunities, avoiding and when necessary, managing disputes across the division
  • Manage the commercial function in the division, providing advice and guidance to both commercial and operational staff
  • Actively contribute to the development of the divisional budget and business priorities
  • Provide contractual advice at tender stage to the bid team
  • Ensure appropriate forecasting is reported for the division throughout the financial year and anticipate foreseeable issues
  • Deliver consistent value and cost reporting, work closely with the teams to understand the financial position of each project and work with them to ensure key priorities are understood and actioned
  • Support and lead key negotiations with prospective customers, partners and subcontractors
  • Ensure contractual duties, obligations, notices, standards etc. are observed and discharged to protect Knights Brown’s position and entitlement under the contract
  • Ensure commercial activity is consistent with Knights Brown procedures and standards
  • Promote innovative ways to add value and reduce costs within the division
  • Develop customer relationships in consideration of long-term strategies

Requirements:

  • Ability to develop and manage all members of a commercial team
  • Proven understanding of forecasting and CVR process
  • Proven ability to understand contractual duties, obligations, notices, standards etc. and ensure that timescales are adhered to
  • CSCS card relevant to role

Nice to have:

  • NEC and FIDIC experience
  • First Aid
