Division Director for the Japan Market at CMC Global.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own overall performance of the Delivery unit, including KPIs: billable rate, resource utilization, delivery quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Define and execute delivery strategy aligned with company goals
  • Act as the top escalation point for project/account issues
  • Oversee large-scale, high-complexity projects and programs, ensuring scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives are met
  • Collaborate with Sales, Pre-sales, PMO, and Delivery teams in project planning, resource estimation, and solution design
  • Ensure consistent project governance, risk management, and compliance with delivery standards
  • Manage and grow delivery teams, including mentoring, coaching, and performance management
  • Support business development and client engagement, especially with senior-level stakeholders
  • Drive improvements in tools, workflows, and delivery practices to increase efficiency and profitability
  • Report directly to CEO

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in the software/IT industry, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing large delivery teams and client portfolios
  • Strong background in managing IT outsourcing services for Japanese clients, with understanding of cultural nuances and communication expectations
  • Proven track record of managing delivery operations across multiple accounts or business units (40+ personnel)
  • Experience in strategic planning, P&L ownership, budgeting, and operational execution
  • Solid understanding of project delivery models (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), SDLC, and offshore delivery
  • Strong business acumen, leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese (~JLPT N2)
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed

  • Responsible for all revenue and expenses booked to assigned Divisions including ensuring appropriate accounting
  • Create monthly financial reports and develop budget to actual variance analysis in conjunction with division/program managers
  • In coordination with Division Directors, develop annual budget for each assigned program and divisions for submission to upper management
  • Forecast financial revenue and expenses on an as needed basis
  • Process and approve payments to vendors ensuring that invoices are charged to the proper GL codes
  • Develop and submit monthly/quarterly/annual billing reports for local, state and federal funding sources to include salary schedules, payment vouchers and statistics and progress reports
  • Reconcile all assigned G/L accounts on a monthly basis including deferred revenue and accounts receivable. Monitor and keep up to date on status of aged receivables
  • Periodic meetings with Division and Program Managers to review status of contract expenses and revenue
  • Work with Program staff to ensure all contracts documents are signed and submitted on timely basis
