Job Description

The Production Board Test (PBT) Division Controller is the senior finance leader responsible for all financial management, planning, reporting, and internal controls across Teradyne’s Production Board Test business. This role is accountable for driving financial rigor, ensuring GAAP‑compliant reporting, supporting strategic growth initiatives, and partnering closely with division to improve profitability and operational performance.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as the primary financial advisor to the Production Board Test General Manager and management team, providing data‑driven insights on business performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic choices
  • Guide the division’s financial planning processes including Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Multi‑Year Plan (MTP), quarterly forecasts, and monthly closes
  • Partner with engineering, operations, product management, and sales on revenue and margin forecasts, investment tradeoffs, and customer‑driven program
  • Own all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for PBT, including: Revenue, pricing, and margin analytics (hardware, instruments, systems, POC/service revenue) Product cost of sales, labor/overhead allocations, warranty reserves
  • Lead preparation of all D&A deliverables for QBRs, Pre‑QBRs, management reviews, and Board‑level updates
  • Work with Operations, Engineering, Product Support, and Field Applications to understand cost drivers and improve operational efficiency
  • Oversee evaluation of engineering spend, productivity, NRE, and headcount planning in collaboration with functional leaders
  • Maintain strong financial governance, internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit readiness
  • Spearhead and develop the PBT Finance team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • MBA or CPA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years progressive finance experience, including leadership roles in manufacturing or advanced technology sectors
  • Deep expertise in financial planning, FP&A, cost accounting, and GAAP reporting
  • Experience supporting a P&L with complex revenue streams (systems, instruments, service/POC)
  • Strong command of forecasting accuracy, scenario modeling, and executive‑level storytelling
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally and influence choices in a fast‑paced, high‑complexity environment
