Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Division Controller with expertise in property accounting to join our team on a contract basis in Bonita Springs, Florida. This role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in managing financial operations within the real estate or senior living industries. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial success of a rapidly growing organization while leveraging your expertise in Yardi software and property management accounting. Must have Yardi experience to be considered.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee financial operations for up to 20 properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Manage month-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
  • Conduct detailed account and bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy
  • Utilize Yardi property management software to manage fixed assets and general ledger functions
  • Collaborate with offshore teams to ensure smooth financial operations and reporting
  • Provide exceptional client-facing support to community and capital partners, addressing inquiries and delivering solutions
  • Monitor and report financial performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement
  • Assist in implementing new ERP systems and ensuring seamless integration into existing processes
  • Support the organization during periods of operational transition and staff turnover
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting or a related financial role
  • Proficiency in Yardi software, with hands-on experience in managing general ledger and fixed asset accounting
  • Strong knowledge of month-end close processes, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage financial operations for multiple properties
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Experience in implementing and working with ERP systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting
