The role is about embedding inclusion, respect, and belonging across Warrigal. It’s not just about diversity in theory it’s about creating frameworks, action plans, and cultural change that touch every part of the organisation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead organisation-wide initiatives that foster respect, belonging, and cultural safety
  • Design and deliver key frameworks including our Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan, Safeguarding Framework, and Reconciliation Action Plan
  • Work closely with internal committees, senior leaders, and external partners
  • Champion inclusion, reconciliation, and safeguarding practices that strengthen our commitment to human rights

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in inclusion and diversity, safeguarding, or reconciliation program delivery within a complex organisation
  • Ability to engage with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTIQA+ communities, and culturally and linguistically diverse groups
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and influencing skills across all organisational levels
  • Understanding of human rights, cultural safety, and trauma-informed practice principles
  • Proven leadership in embedding frameworks and driving cultural change

Nice to have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Human Services, Community Development, or related field
  • Experience in the aged care, health, or community services sectors
  • Membership or active involvement with recognised inclusion or reconciliation bodies
  • Experience in data reporting and evaluation of social or cultural programs
