District Support Pharmacist

• Manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
• Travel the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled
• Oversee the pharmacy and serve as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy when necessary
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Manage pharmacy inventory with a focus on protecting cold chain products
• Deliver immunizations to patients
• Maintain clinical and technical skills through training and CMEs
• Improve patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, professional standards, CVS Health policies, and compliance with controlled substance dispensing and recordkeeping.

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
• Ability to travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Attention to confirm prescription information and label accuracy, ensuring patient safety
• Customer service and team orientation skills
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Mathematical reasoning ability
• Problem resolution skills
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs and remain mobile for extended periods.

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
