Job Description:

District Support Pharmacist role at CVS Health, responsible for covering pharmacist scheduling gaps within the district, supporting pharmacy teams, and ensuring safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.

Job Responsibility:

  • Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts
  • Overseeing the pharmacy and serving as Pharmacy Manager's proxy
  • Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
  • Assuming Pharmacy Manager's day-to-day duties when serving as primary pharmacist
  • Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
  • Proactively offering and delivering immunizations
  • Supporting effective management of pharmacy inventory
  • Maintaining relevant clinical and technical skills
  • Supporting access to care and improving patient outcomes through pharmacist delivered clinical care
  • Understanding and complying with all relevant federal and state laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
  • Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
  • Ability to travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require
  • Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
  • Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
  • Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
  • Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
  • Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
  • Notice and understand patients' reactions and respond appropriately
  • Use and understand verbal and written communication
  • Utilize active listening
  • Ability to use math to solve problems
  • Identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions and choosing the best course of action
  • Physical mobility and ability to remain upright for extended periods
  • Lift, scan, and bag items
  • Reach overhead and stretch to grasp items
  • Move fingers repetitively
  • Extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions
  • Control precision
  • Stoop to a considerable degree

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
