District Support Pharmacist

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the District Performance Coordinator (DPC)
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Overseeing the pharmacy and serving as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
• Proactively offering and delivering immunizations
• Supporting effective inventory management in all pharmacies
• Maintaining relevant clinical and technical skills for the job
• Supporting access to care and helping to improve patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care
• Understanding and complying with all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, and professional standards.

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
• Ability to travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
• Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
• Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
• Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
• Notice and understand patients’ reactions, and respond appropriately
• Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues
• Utilize active listening by giving full attention to what others are saying
• Mathematical reasoning to solve pharmacy problems

• Ability to be mobile and upright for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
• Ability to reach overhead and handle items requiring precision
• Close visual acuity for transcribing and viewing details
• Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
