Position Summary CVS Health is seeking a highly motivated and patient-focused Per Diem Immunizing Pharmacist to support our pharmacy teams during the peak immunization season. This role is critical in helping protect community health by delivering safe, accurate, and efficient vaccination services while maintaining exceptional patient care standards. As a per diem pharmacist, you will provide flexible support across multiple locations in the market, assisting with increased patient demand for immunizations and pharmacy operations.
Job Responsibility:
Administer a wide range of immunizations in accordance with company protocols, state regulations, and CDC guidelines
Deliver strong patient engagement by providing vaccine education, answering questions, and addressing patient concerns
Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient workflow within the pharmacy
Support pharmacy teams with prescription verification and clinical services as needed
Maintain compliance with all CVS Health policies, procedures, and workflow expectations
Accurately document immunizations and patient interactions in required systems
Support patient outreach initiatives and immunization clinics as needed
Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment across store locations
Requirements:
Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Missouri
Current Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA)
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification
Ability to administer vaccines to patients in accordance with Missouri state regulations (including age-specific requirements)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and peak seasonal demands
Willingness to travel within assigned district/market as needed
Nice to have:
Previous retail pharmacy or immunization clinic experience
Strong workflow management and high-volume immunization experience
Bilingual (preferred but not required)
Experience supporting community outreach or vaccine events
