As a DSM, you will work in conjunction with your manager and Customer Service Representative (CSR) to acquire new business and increase the throughput of existing business through the proactive sale of food and non-food products within the assigned territory, while also building net margin. In addition, you will increase Dot’s visibility, acceptance, and case sales within the multi-unit restaurant category.
Job Responsibility
Build strong customer relationships and manage the day-to-day aspects of customers’ business with Dot
Penetrate customer departments and management teams to build relationships and drive buy-in to Dot’s value proposition
Collaborate with brokers and direct sales representatives in the market to grow business for both Dot and customers
Provide daily problem-solving and supply chain solutions for assigned customers
Improve Dot’s net margin profitability across assigned accounts
Maintain accurate and effective Salesforce (CRM) management
Manage customer deductions and resolve related issues in a timely manner
Generate volume opportunities for Dot through National Account headquarters calls
Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the role
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or comparable Dot experience
Two years' sales experience, in food industry a plus
Demonstrated aptitude in PC/laptop skills
Effective professional written and verbal communication skills
Strong planning and time management skills
Nice to have
Ability to work independently as well as work with other departments
Good meeting/group facilitation skills
Extensive use and understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
