The District Pharmacy Coordinator (DPC) plays a critical role supporting the effective coordination of scheduling in pharmacies across their market. The DPC ensures that all pharmacist schedules are created and published on time, with coverage and contingency plans in place to support day-to-day pharmacy operations and outside immunization clinics. The DPC serves as a timekeeping administrator for market pharmacists and supports payroll submission, vacation tracking, and other administrative tasks to ensure smooth and compliant pharmacy operations.
Job Responsibility:
Set and maintain Pharmacist schedule for stores in the district, including creation and maintenance of Pharmacist templates, appropriate scheduling of DSPs, pharmacist vacation coverage, and the maintenance of staffing contingency plans
Track pharmacist vacation balances and send regular reporting, reminders, and request to ensure pharmacists are utilizing vacation time, partnering with Rx DL for the timely review and approval of all pharmacist vacation requests
Track and submit pharmacist payroll weekly, in accordance with the CVS Pharmacist Payroll Administrative Guide
Seasonally, manage vaccine clinic scheduling, including inputting clinics into the schedule three weeks in advance, checking the scheduling tool daily for additional clinic requests, revising pharmacist schedules to cover clinics, and preventing client escalations through proactive planning and balancing of priorities
Prevent client escalations through proactive planning to ensure pharmacy clinic operations meet expectations
Support additional administrative needs at the direction of the Rx DL to support day-to-day pharmacy operations, key initiatives, and compliant pharmacy operations
Requirements:
Regular and predictable attendance is required and position may require a flexible work schedule to accommodate business needs
1+ years of full-time work experience in a retail and/or corporate environment
High School diploma or GED required
Associates degree preferred
Unless otherwise required by the Board of Pharmacy (BOP), Pharmacy Technician Licensure/Certification must be obtained no later than 90 days in role
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Strong interpersonal skills as demonstrated by successful collaboration to achieve shared goals
Strong communication skills in both formal and informal writing and speech
Proven ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet assignment deadlines with minimal supervision
Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Nice to have:
Pharmacy Lead Technician experience
Familiarity and experience with mySchedule and Workbrain or other scheduling/time and attendance/payroll systems
