Job Description

District Manager position responsible for maximizing store sales, managing controllable costs, ensuring compliance with policies, providing leadership to store managers, and achieving financial objectives through effective retail operations management.

Job Responsibility

  • Maximize store sales through excellent customer service, product availability, and merchandising
  • Provide information to store management by recapping promotional activity
  • Manage controllable costs by educating managers on procedures
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to ensure promotions and new product introductions are fully implemented
  • Partner with vendors to ensure product availability
  • Ensure store operations are profitable by managing cash and merchandise variation
  • Ensure compliance with requirements by enforcing adherence to policies and procedures
  • Protect employees, customers and company assets by maintaining a safe and secure working environment
  • Achieve financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budget
  • Provide leadership and direction to store managers, including assistance in recruiting, selection, and orientation processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
  • Three to five years of retail business experience or more preferred
  • Minimum of two years of management responsibility
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-directed
  • Self-motivated
  • Customer service oriented
  • Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English
  • Ability to supervise and train Store Managers
  • Expertise with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred
  • Current valid driver's license required

  • Provide superior internal and external customer service to ensure repeat donors, shoppers, and staff retention and de-escalate customer dissatisfaction quickly and effectively
  • Coach and counsel employees concerning the performance of their job duties, including discipline up to and including termination
  • Helps to identify and recommend employees with proven performance for advancement
  • Attend or participate in various administrative and departmental meetings to coordinate activities, resolve problems, and discuss inter-related procedures, responsibilities, and services
