Job Description:

The District Leader, Retail Pharmacy plays a critical role in cultivating a culture of clinical and business excellence in retail pharmacies. This position includes responsibilities such as overseeing up to 18 retail pharmacies, mentoring and developing Pharmacy Managers, driving business performance, growing the portfolio through acquisitions, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines. The role is full-time and comes with a competitive benefits package.

Job Responsibility:

  • Cultivate and maintain a healthy Pharmacist talent pipeline
  • set the District talent agenda for hourly colleagues
  • set and communicate District priorities based on Corporate and Regional direction
  • conduct regular formal and informal check-ins with Pharmacy Managers
  • improve District-level pharmacy performance measures
  • oversee patient safety and regulatory oversight
  • grow the business through acquisitions, file buys, new stores, and remodels
  • develop and execute business plans and strategies
  • actively review business reports to derive insights about District pharmacy performance
  • set, communicate and execute market goals
  • champion differentiated customer service
  • ensure all pharmacies are prepared for inventories and audits
  • ensure compliance with policies and relevant laws
  • implement local real estate strategy and acquisition support

Requirements:

  • Active Pharmacist license in the state where the district is located
  • internal candidates must be accepted into the EL program
  • 5+ years as a practicing Pharmacist, ideally within a retail setting
  • completion of our LEARNRx program within 120 days of hire
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy

Nice to have:

  • PharmD preferred
  • preference for internal candidates to have completed the EL program curriculum up through the EL Summit
  • 3+ years of experience as a multi-unit manager
  • 1+ year of experience in CVS Retail store or field role(s)
  • 8 to 10 years work experience
