The Company: You will work with a team of leading experts from the industry. Who operate with cutting edge technology, exploring new options to replace gas. You will work on various projects and developments for the future of district energy. The company has major operational heat networks, delivering heat, hot water and cooling to thousands of homes and commercial premises across the UK. They are also currently designing, installing and bringing into service many other exciting large projects. The team have many contracts across the UK specialising in constructing, adopting and operating over 500MW of thermal generation plants, with 50MW supplying over 50,000 homes and commercial buildings through decentralised energy networks.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and manage action plans
Ensure and contribute to safety, design and asset management systems
Develop effective relationships as well as influencing numerous external contractors, property developers, consultants and clients.
Have the ability to influence stakeholders such as the Design and Build and Operations teams.
Report to the Technical Director and play an integral part in the design team for district heating, helping to ensure compliance with Legislation and Industry Standards for Heating, Cooling Water Distribution Systems.
Implement, participate and contribute towards these procedures to manage the adoption of new sites from external Developers and/or internal Design and Build Teams.
Review designs, installation and commissioning specifications
as well as producing recommendations aimed at ensuring that sites operate safely, reliably and with a high degree of efficiency as soon as they are adopted.
Offer guidance to clients, consultants and designers on Industry best practice.
Requirements:
Degree in a relevant Engineering subject or studying towards a degree in Engineering.
A general understanding of the companies health and safety regulations and policies
An understanding of heat engineering design, installation, operation and maintenance
An understanding of standard construction industry contract relationships and forms of contract.
Experience in the delivery of excellent customer service
Experience in developing and maintaining relationships at all levels with external and internal customers
A broad knowledge of standard IT applications and in-depth knowledge of those applications relevant to the duties being performed
Dedicated and committed to working as part of a team and building and having a can do/will do work ethic.
Experience of working independently with minimum supervision and dealing with unforeseen problems and circumstances.

Computer literate – carries out complex tasks, integrates information from numerous software packages, produces reports and trains/coaches others.
