Position Summary: CVS Health has an exciting opportunity for a District Asset Protection Leader to join our dynamic team. As a District Asset Protection Leader (DAPL) you will implement asset protection objectives and administer AP programs. You will: Provide assistance and training to the field operations teams to address specific asset protection issues with an assigned span of control; Get results by forging strong business relationships and working in a team environment to service internal and external customers; Analyze information from reporting tools to determine critical priorities for the assigned areas and will provides objective, accurate and timely analysis of trends to operational field partners; Align business partners to integrate priorities; Work with field operations teams to define accountability and what needs be done to achieve the desired results; Enforce asset protection and shrinkage control programs to protect assets from loss due to internal/external theft and operational compliance issues. Give timely follow up to ensure that plans and programs put in place are utilized and execution is achieved; Communicate with field teams to provide feedback on overall progress of initiatives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Complete store health assessments to ensure overall operational compliance in assigned stores
  • Coordinate and supervise the use of outside agencies for security functions within assigned markets
  • Conduct timely, ethical, and professional investigations of all potential internal theft incidents
  • Maintain professional liaison with all local law enforcement officials to ensure appropriate coordination of investigations and/or prosecutions
  • Facilitate meetings/trainings to all levels of field personnel as required due to market needs and priorities
  • Attain budgeted results for shrink and P&L performance within assigned market

Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, (projected to cover as much as entire state)- RI
  • 5 years of experience in retail store manager/asset protection/loss prevention management
  • 2 years of experience with multiple store responsibility
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

Nice to have:

  • BA/BS in Criminal Justice, Business Management or Accounting or equivalent experience
  • Word and Excel knowledge is required
  • Knowledge of conducting legal and ethical investigations
  • Ability to build strong business relationships with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to function in a team environment. Give as well as accept constructive criticism
  • LP Qualified (LPQ) or LP Certified (LPC) certifications

  • Develop and manage asset protection initiatives and projects, in conjunction with Asset Protection leadership and field leadership, to deliver gross margin impact, reduce shrink, and improve processes and procedures through in-person, virtual, and phone-based support
  • Partner with brand field leaders to connect store and business strategy with asset protection opportunities through effective communication and training to reduce shrink, margin erosion, and safety risks
  • Independently and in partnership with field leadership, communicate asset protection awareness by teaching and managing implementation of policies and procedures through in-person, web-based, and phone-based methods
  • Manage other strategic projects, as assigned, related to asset protection, shrink reduction, SKU variance, risk management, and safety across KnitWell Group stores and its distribution network
  • Partner with the analytics team and Manager of Investigations to resolve losses attributed to omni-channel fraud or external theft
  • Serve as a community liaison with law enforcement and other retail/asset protection partners to recover merchandise or cash, support case prosecution, and facilitate restitution when warranted
  • Perform in-person and virtual store visits to ensure compliance with company policies, identify areas of loss, and execute strategies related to shrink, safety, physical security, and risk management
