The Role: We are seeking an experienced and driven Distribution Supervisor to lead and enhance our New Zealand distribution operations covering our Auckland and Christchurch Warehouses. This role is critical in ensuring our customers receive their orders on time, in full, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Regional Warehouse Manager, you will oversee all warehouse and distribution activities, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and foster a high-performing, engaged team.

Job Responsibility

  • Attend and conduct daily and weekly operational team meetings
  • Improve warehouse functions to maintain quality, inventory precision, performance, and cost goals that back the customer experience
  • Manage the accurate flow of stock through the system
  • Foster steady progress in every aspect of warehouse operations to boost service standards and organizational performance
  • Collaborate and communicate proactively with internal partners to support regional deliverables
  • Oversee the inspection of incoming products to the facility for conformity with replenishment, direct order, or returned goods authorization
  • Guarantee the timely arrival and distribution of finished goods between company warehouses
  • Arrange special distribution services to aid the launch of new products or to address internal and important customer supply chain challenges
  • Collect relevant benchmarks and interpret information to find opportunities for operational efficiencies and report capacity constraints
  • Prepare budgets for warehouse and distribution activity and operate within approved guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and Baxter requirements and adherence to GMP standards
  • Develop distribution techniques and practices that determine conformity with receipt and shipping requirements
  • Lead projects to optimize all facets of distribution and logistics operations
  • Develop and implement an inventory management strategy
  • Regularly review the transportation strategy and ensure freight optimization
  • Recommend improvements in transport practices, processes, and systems to promote a cost-effective and timely service
  • Evaluate inbound and outbound due dates and take corrective action to eliminate results that do not meet customer expectations
