The Distribution Strategy and Network Analytics Sr Lead Analyst is a strategic professional that leads and executes projects to optimize Cit’s US Branch and ATM network. They will be accountable for delivery of a full range of services with focuses on customer, site, trade area, and market potential, as well as the interplay of multiple distribution formats in an evolving operational environment, network planning, and associated analytical support for a broad base of partners. Coordinates the work of a team of analysts in the completion of projects.
Job Responsibility:
Formulates and directs the creation of multiple projects of work and manages their alignment to business goals and within the context of a long-term vision
Manages projects from conception to completion including development of specification, timelines, production of analysis, and delivery of results
Formalize a market prioritization framework for ongoing investments, inclusive of new market entry and efficiency opportunities within existing markets
Develop a network optimization and market planning construct consistent with the bank’s strategic vision, setting a 3 to 5 year roadmap for optimizing the physical network
Presents market planning analyses, strategy, and resulting recommendations to senior leadership
Leverage GIS and analytical software to provide in-depth, sophisticated analyses through manipulation, exploration, summarization, and modeling of disparate data and information
Develop a geospatial and distribution analytics framework, standards, and infrastructure to reduce the urgency of short-term needs
Enhance location and geospatial analytics by introducing new techniques and data to measure the impact of branch decisions on customer behaviors and branch performance
Creates the templates and methodologies for standard deliverables such as lease renewal packages, branch one-pagers, and consolidation approvals
Stays abreast of industry trends to identify and qualify research needs
Meets business objectives and develops project plans that include coordinating and monitoring the efforts of internal and external partners
Collaborates and develops influential relationships with leadership, peers, and partners to define project requirements and deliver innovative solutions
Leads the identification and drives the resolution of issues, including those outside established projects of work with stakeholders to ensure project scope definition
Directs the identification of risks which impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary
Some travel for field research and in-person meetings
Requirements:
10+ years’ industry experience in banking or retail GIS and site selection
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Geography, Economics or related field
Graduate degree a plus
Demonstrated ability to collect, integrate, and communicate complex requirements specific to applied retail GIS to both non-technical and technical personnel
Expertise in desktop GIS (MapInfo, ESRI) and the application of geospatial data including demographics to address site location questions
Proficiency in statistical concepts and software packages (SAS, SPSS)
Experience with the MS Office suite, particularly Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Ability to balance a deep and diverse project load in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Strong problem-solving abilities, organization, and attention to detail
Comprehensive understanding of how own area and others integrate to achieve business objectives
