The Distribution Planning Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective distribution of products from Factories/ HUB’s/ DC’s to receiving nodes to enable Customer Service. The candidate will be responsible for managing System Planning activities and analysing distribution data to develop and implement distribution plans that optimize delivery times, minimize costs and maximize Service (DR, Day 0, OSA & OLA) thus Customer satisfaction. Distribution planning ensures Right Quantity is delivered to Right Place on Time with optimum distribution Cost. Distribution Planning Manager will be Planning FG goods movements from source to destination with an objective of managing three pillars: 1) High Customer Service Level 2) Least distribution cost 3) Optimised inventory holding
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop distribution plans that meet customer demand and maximize profitability
Design the Sourcing matrix with Supply planning & SUIT team
Analyse distribution data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement in the distribution network
Norm design & closely monitoring for Physical, dynamic & fixed norms basis business requirement
Work closely with logistics and transportation providers to ensure on-time delivery of products
Monitor and report on distribution KPIs to identify trends and areas for improvement
Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce Inventory costs
Support the development and implementation of new distribution processes and systems
Develop Capabilities (System & Operational) to be in sync with business priorities
Ensure compliance with HUL's distribution policies and procedures
Provide training and support to distribution teams to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
2 to 4 years of experience in Planning, distribution planning, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in a consumer goods or retail industry
Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Bachelor's degree or Master’s Degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to drive decision-making
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, such as SAP, BI
