Distribution Material Handler

• Maintain the integrity of the organization's warehouses
• Receive, store, pick, load and distribute products and POS materials
• Accurately load and unload trailers of palletized and non-palletized product and POS material
• Utilize manual and power material handling equipment
• Sort and place products or POS materials on racks or shelves according to predetermined designated locations
• Accurately assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets
• Wrap pallets with stretch film and prepare for shipping
• Mark/label incoming products with identifying information (Date Code, Product Description and Code, Case Count)
• Mark/label outgoing product with identifying information (Route #/BIN Location, Pallet Count)
• Verify amounts of product/POS materials received
• Use technology (RF scanning and voice picking equipment) during local checkout process according to Company Operation Guidelines
• Operate material handling equipment to transport stored items within the warehouse
• Prepare and organize warehouse for daily cycle count inventory and shopping activities
• Complete daily maintenance power equipment checklist
• Report defective equipment
• Practice and adhere to appropriate safety, food safety and hygiene guidelines/procedures for safe housekeeping and personal protection
• Keep work area clean and remove trash from work area floor
• Store supplies in designated areas
• Keep work area aisles/exits clear and free from obstructions
• Follow instructions for safe lifting/carrying of various sizes, shapes, and weights
• Identify/report defective equipment
• Report all job-related injuries/property damage to supervision
• Support and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives including 5S (sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain)
• May perform other duties as required

• High School Diploma or GED and/or one year of experience
• Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear
• Ability to occasionally sit, climb, or balance
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities (close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus)
