Distribution Material Handler

• Accurately load and unload trailers of palletized and non-palletized product and POS material
• Sort and place products or POS materials on racks or shelves according to predetermined designated locations
• Accurately assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets, wrap pallets with stretch film and prepare for shipping
• Mark/label incoming products with identifying information
• Mark/label outgoing product with identifying information
• Verify amounts of product/POS materials received
• Use technology (RF scanning and voice picking equipment) during local checkout process
• Operate material handling equipment to transport stored items within the warehouse
• Prepare and organize warehouse for daily cycle count inventory and shopping activities
• Complete daily maintenance power equipment checklist
• Report defective equipment
• Practice and adhere to appropriate safety, food safety and hygiene guidelines/procedures
• Keep work area clean and remove trash
• Store supplies in designated areas
• Keep work area aisles/exits clear and free from obstructions
• Follow instructions for safe lifting/carrying
• Report all job-related injuries/property damage to supervision
• Support and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives including 5S
• May perform other duties as required

• High School Diploma or GED and/or one year of experience
• Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel
• reach with hands and arms
• stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• and talk or hear
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
