The Distribution Center Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient movement of inventory through our warehouse operations. This position involves handling shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, stock management, and forklift operations to support our customers and sales teams. Success in this role means maintaining organization, accuracy, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Unload incoming shipments from motor freight, UPS, and other carriers
  • Handle stock put-away and slotting locations for optimal organization and accessibility
  • Pick, pack, and process shipments, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Print delivery tickets, pull materials, and verify purchase order details before shipment
  • Create Bills of Lading and arrange for motor freight pickups and load shipments
  • Coordinate and document customer "Will Call" pickups
  • Maintain accurate warehouse stock records and perform regular housekeeping duties
  • Participate in mandatory quarterly inventory counts
  • Receive and verify purchase orders while confirming sales orders in our homegrown system, “.Net”
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient warehouse operations

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, stand, stoop, kneel, squat, and reach as needed
  • Capability to move and/or lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds
  • 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center
  • Experience delivering to industrial plants, including chemical, refinery, and papermill facilities
  • Candidates must be able to pass a drug test, physical, and/or MVR check, as applicable for the role
