Job Description:

A Distribution Center Operations Supervisor directs workflow for warehouse employees and leads their team to meet and exceed daily targets. Manages day to day work operations and evaluates work performance. Assists manager in the total leadership and operations with initiative, leadership, and continuous improvement thinking.

Job Responsibility:

Directs workflow for warehouse employees and leads their team to meet and exceed daily targets
Manages day to day work operations and evaluates work performance
Assists manager in the total leadership and operations with initiative, leadership, and continuous improvement thinking
Assists with coordination of processes and assignments for the distribution area
Executes daily activities and operational plans for the distribution area's strategies
Manages day-to-day operations in a warehouse section to ensure daily targets are met or exceeded
Conducts performance appraisals
Analyzes reports and provides recommendations to the operations manager
Coordinates processes and assignments for areas within the warehouse to achieve a balanced workload
Defines terms for conducting tasks and establishes new priorities for assignments
Manages team performance through regular, timely feedback

Requirements:

3-5 years of prior supervisory or group leading experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or manufacturing environment
Verifiable High School Diploma/GED

Nice to have:

Warehouse Management/Manhattan Systems experience
MS Office experience
Lean and six sigma experience
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
Ability to analyze information effectively and consistently
Ability to complete assignments within established timelines
Ability to complete work under general supervision
Bachelor's Degree
