Job Description:

As the Distribution Center Operations Supervisor (First Shift), you will be responsible for leading a team of non-exempt employees in CVS Health’s Knoxville distribution facility. This includes planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and supervising the daily activities of an assigned shift and functional area to achieve performance goals and metrics within the distribution center. Additionally, your responsibilities will include order selection, replenishment, loading, and shipping of store orders. As the distribution center Operations Supervisor, you are also responsible for directing workflow for warehouse employees and leading their team to meet and exceed daily targets. They also manage day to day work operations and evaluate work performance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and assigning work to new hires
  • Ensuring employees have the necessary equipment, materials, and documents to ensure successful completion of tasks
  • Monitoring and adjusting resources to achieve the daily production and delivery goals
  • Balancing workloads by taking readings throughout the day to achieve the appropriate level of volume by the projected time of completion
  • Monitoring the work performance of each employee to ensure that quality and quantity expectations are met or exceeded
  • Conducting staff meetings and verifying that daily worksheets are completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis
  • Providing ongoing training and retraining of employees to ensure that they are prepared to meet or exceed the productivity standards for their function
  • Utilizing a variety or reports, summaries, and procedures to project workload and resolve problems that arise during the work day
  • Analyzing information effectively to make sound business decisions
  • Work overtime and/or occasional small weekend shifts as needed
  • Ability to stand and walk around for most of the shift
  • Utilizing Lean-Six methodology to drive Continuous Improvement
  • Champion Safety and Quality daily
  • Utilizing various systems and computer programs to carry out a multitude of responsibilities related to operations, production, and administrative programs, processes, and tasks

Requirements:

  • 2+ years in a manufacturing or distribution center environment
  • 1+ years in a lead, supervisory, or managerial role
  • 2+ years leading a pick and pack team
  • Availability to work 1st shift, starting at 4:00AM EST
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

Nice to have:

  • 3+ years in a manufacturing or distribution center environment
  • 2+ years in a supervisory role OR 1+ years in a supervisory or lead role in a manufacturing or distribution center environment
