Job Description:

The Distribution Center Operations Manager will plan, organize, direct, control, and manage the daily activities of an assigned functional area within the Distribution Center. This position involves planning work to meet production schedules, analyzing operational reports, developing performance enhancement strategies, budget preparation, and ensuring safety compliance.

Job Responsibility:

Plan, organize, direct, control, and manage the daily activities of an assigned functional area within the Distribution Center
Plan, organize, schedule, forecast, and coordinate work to meet production schedules and operational goals
Review/analyze production, quality, and other operational reports
Develop and implement plans, procedures, programs, and strategies to enhance performance, service level, and cost-per-piece
Prepare departmental budget and control expenditures
Administer policies/procedures
Develop supervisory staff with emphasis on team building, communication, and performance accountability
Ensure maximum utilization of manpower and equipment
Promote and reinforce safety and security awareness

Requirements:

5+ years of Microsoft Office experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
2+ years of prior leadership/management experience in a distribution/manufacturing/retail environment
1+ years of warehouse management system (WMS) experience
Verifiable High School Diploma/GED

Nice to have:

7+ years of prior management experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment
Lean Six Sigma experience
Labor Management System (LMS) experience
