Job Description:

My client is a legal 500 law firm, seeking a newly qualified to 1 year post-qualification solicitor to join their growing Dispute Resolution team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing a varied litigation caseload across property and commercial disputes
  • Advising clients on legal options and strategy, and progressing cases efficiently and effectively
  • Delivering a high standard of client care and maintaining regular and clear communication
  • Handling correspondence, negotiations, and, where appropriate, conducting advocacy
  • Recording time accurately, ensuring timely billing, and assisting with department operations
  • Staying current with legal developments relevant to your practice area
  • Supporting junior team members as appropriate and collaborating across departments
  • Engaging in business development activities and building client relationships

Requirements:

  • NQ to 1 year PQE with practical experience in litigation
  • Experience in property litigation, including landlord possession claims, disrepair, tenancy disputes, leasehold issues, service charge disputes, and breaches of lease
  • Experience in commercial litigation, particularly contractual disputes
  • Background in privately funded client work (individuals and SMEs)
  • Strong advocacy skills (desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
  • Strong IT skills and commercial awareness
  • Current Practicing Certificate
