Job Description:

Amentum is looking for a Disposal Clerk to join our team in Springfield, VA.

Job Responsibility:

  • Inventory excess property upon pick-up and sign NGA Form’s 4151-12A Request for Equipment Turn-In and 4151-12B Request for Destruction
  • Accept responsibility for accountable items and remove from customer’s work area within five business days of receipt of work order
  • Ensure E-Waste scheduled for destruction (hard drives, memory sticks) are inventoried by serial number and signed for upon receipt
  • Control E-Waste in a secure holding area until transferred to destruction activity
  • Obtain signature receipt for hard drives upon transfer to destruction activity
  • Remove all barcodes and other organization labels from equipment
  • Coordinate Receipt-in-Place for excess property with DLA when applicable
  • Turn-in Excess/Unserviceable assets to Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for final disposition
  • Update PeopleSoft (PS) Asset Management (AM) system
  • Move/Ship property to other authorized Activity IAW applicable requirements & procedures
  • Provide guidance to customers when documentation is incomplete or property is not properly sanitized
  • Report all instances to site security when property delivered to Material Handling Center (MHC) is found not properly sanitized

Requirements:

  • Must have and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Government security clearance
  • Must be physically able to perform lifting of objects up to 65 pounds per package and maneuver up to 80 pounds
  • Must be able to build pallets or boxes for storage or shipping purposes
  • Must be able to withstand rigorous physical demands including bending, squatting, lifting and standing for long periods of time
  • Must be able to operate electric and manual pallet jacks
