Job Description

At Meta Reality Labs, we are developing the future of Wearables and Mixed Reality (MR) products. As a Display Electrical Engineer, you will be a member of our Reality Labs AR display engineering organization, involved with display module electrical design along with validation and verification, be the point of contact and interface to the product development and other cross functional teams, in order to develop leading-edge technologies and designs, and work with the current and evolving ecosystem to drive innovations to our HW platforms. You will be part of a team working on AR wearable products.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead related activities in display module development, qualification, and support integration to the system from development phase to mass production
  • Design, simulate, prototype, and test electrical systems while working closely with FPGA, FW/SW, silicon design engineers, and customer teams
  • Perform testing, validation, verification, and debug for any display electrical related issues
  • Perform display bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting of components
  • Identify display related failures and provide solutions to mitigate the issue
  • Design of PCBs, rigid and flexible boards
  • Work with internal cross-functional teams to establish display module system integration and analysis
  • Work with supply chain teams for display module and component vendor evaluation and selection

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • 8+ years of electrical design experience in display module
  • Experience in display electrical subsystem design, testing, and system integration
  • Experience with electrical lab equipment for display testing
  • Experience with display electrical interfaces standards and familiar with display or touch subsystem protocols
  • Experience in delivering high-volume consumer products
  • Experience with communicating with colleagues, team, and cross-functional partners

Nice to have

  • Master or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering
  • In-depth understanding of display technologies and display module, display panel, and display IC design
  • Knowledge of electrical signal integrity, simulations, display or system power delivery, and display electrical test system development
  • Experience with display electrical subsystem design/testing/validation/implementation
  • Experience with display module PCB/flex design, interfaces standards, display driver IC, and display backlight
